Business description

After 6 successful years of trading, I have made the very difficult decision to sell We Got it Covered.

I am selling due to landing a job last September.

I have been running We Got it Covered on a semi part time-part time basis since then but although I am enjoying doing both (especially the financial gain) I am missing valuable family time which has lead me to make this decision.

I started We Got it Covered in 2010. I dress weddings & events throughout the UK, both on a full fitted service & also on a DIY basis whereby goods are delivered direct to the client or their venue for them to fit themselves.

Main items are chair covers with sashes & accessories, table runners, table swags & centrepieces.

I also work with a handful of trusted suppliers who supply other items; chairs & tables, DJ, Dance Floor, lighting, mood lighting, backdrops, bridal stationery.
I take a commission each time one of these items is ordered.

Included is a list of various venue & supplier contacts around the South East.

I am recommended supplier at a handful of venues.

I have been renting a storage unit for around a year and a half now. The business can be run from home providing you have space (a garage for example) although storage units are surprisingly reasonable and the business covers the costs.

I did have a small van on a 3 year lease which ran out last August. The other 3 years I have used various cars-Nissan Almera, Ford Focus & currently a Nissan Qashqai all of which have sufficed perfectly.

I have used a handful of casual staff over the years. There are plenty of people out there looking to earn a bit of cash for easy work on a Saturday morning.

Being in the wedding industry, the majority of events are on a Saturday meaning the work is very enjoyable, you pretty much get weekdays to yourself-95% of the work is carried out on a Saturday morning making it relatively stress free.

All laundry and ironing is currently done at home, although I have outsourced it in the past.

Turnover has averaged £30,000 full time, £17,000 part time.

I am only really looking for the face value of the assets so as to negotiate a quick & easy sale.

I am hoping to hand over at the end of November so the new buyer can start a fresh next season (and get some practice in over the Xmas period)

I am happy to train the new buyer up on site in the lead up-our diary is full up until the beginning of November this year.

There are currently 4 bookings in our diary for the period between December 2016-December 2017. This is likely to start increasing from this time of year so feel free to ask at point of enquiry how many are in the diary at that time.

This service is generally one of the last items on a bridal party’s list so the majority of bookings come in around 3 months before the event.
My advertising spend has been pretty much non-existent for the past 2 years.

Majority of work currently comes from the website (via Google) & referrals from various venues as well as previous customers.

Even with no advertising budget, bookings completed the past 2 seasons are as follows:
Jan-Dec 2015 (Semi Part Time):
75 Bookings, average booking value £260

Jan-Aug 2016: (Part Time)
24 Bookings, average booking value £280

I have 14 bookings between now and the end of November which I have a duty to carry out. I forecast this years’ bookings to be somewhere between 40-50 by the end of December.


A drive in advertising in the right areas would propel booking quantities next season.
